Abstract

The Experimental Study for Shortening Resin Curing Time
This thesis is an attempt to experiment five curing methods ( curing method for 1.5 hours in room water, short curing method, long curing method, curing method for 50 minutes at 40 C, and curing method for 30 minutes at 40 C ) with indirect acrylic resin and to measure the porosity, the shrinkage and the hardness of indirect acrylic resin.
Some of the significant findings of this study are ;
1) There was no difference in the porosity, the shrinkage of indirect acrylic re-sin between three methods - cu:-ing method for 1.5 hours in room water, short curing method and long curing method.
2) there were less porosities by curing method for 50 minutes at 40 ¢¥C than by curing method for 30 minutes at 40 O C and the hardness of indirect acrylic resin by the former was higher than that by the latter.
3) The hardness of indirect acrylic resin by curing method for 1.5 hours in room water, that by long curing method, that by short curing method, curing method for 50 minutes at 40 C and curing method for 30 minutes at 40 C and curing method for 30 minutes at 40 C was high in that order.
4) Resin curing time was shortened more by curing method for 1.5 hoursin room water compared with by long curing method and short curing method.
